Get ready with me! Spring hair, makeup and outfit!

Hey there guys! So today I am joining you with a different kind of post, I haven't done one of these before so bare with me!

Yesterday I was going out to my sisters house for a BBQ and decided I would show you how I got ready!

So here I am bare faced after a late night babysitting and ill!

So I have already preped my skin and a skincare routine may be coming up soon if you guys want to see it!

So I am starting off with my collection lasting perfection concealer and my real techniques buffing brush, this is the placement of my concealer:

I am then using the same brush with my number seven stay perfect foundation in calico.

I am then taking any left over foundation on my real techniques pointed foundation brush and applying it under my eyes.

I am then setting my makeup with my number seven translucent powder.

I press this into my skin rather than swirl it so it doesn't move the makeup.

I am now taking my rimmel natural bronzer in shade 025 sun glow on my real techniques contour brush and I am contouring my cheekbones and blending along the jawline and towards my temples.

I am then taking my bobbi brown powder brush and the same bronzer and I am taking this down my neck to blend everything together.

I am now going to use the sleek rose gold blush on my avon angled blusher brush.

I am applying this to the apples of my cheeks.

And that is the skin done! Now on to eyes!

I am priming my eyes with my urban decay primer potion in greed.

for this look I will be using colours from my MUA undressed palette.

I am starting using shade 4 on my Bobbi Brown flat shader brush all over my lid.

I am now introducing three darker brown shades into my crease using a blending brush, I used shades 5, 8 and 10.

I am now blending everything out with the same bronzer to give a seamless smokey effect.

I am now lining my eyes with my loreal super liner in inetense black.

I am now applying my mascara which is benefits bad gal lash.

I then tight lined my eyes using the model co khol eyeliner in black 01.

and this is the finished eye look!

for lips I am using my revlon lip butter in shade 045 cotton candy...

...and my benefit ultra plush lip gloss in lollibop.

This is the finished makeup look!

now time for hair! *insterts cringe worthy posed photo*

I am going to be straightening my hair with my vidal sassoon hydra gloss straighteners.

Here I am sectioning my hair into three layers and evenly distributing heat defence spray through my hair.

I then take small sections and straighten them!

This is the finished hair, as you can see my hair has a mind of it's own!

now for outfit!

so if you live in the UK you can understand that the weather can be pretty unreliable so I went for a pretty spring look that was somewhat practical:

I am wearing a tank top from primark underneath a lace/crochet tank top from new look

I am also wearing a pair of denim jeans from new look

My trainers are nike airmax's

and my jacket is from steve madden

I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know what you think in the comments!

An Exclusive Interview with Kerry from Hero Chic Heels!!

Hey Guys! So today's post is super exciting and I am so glad that it could be possible! Today I am sharing with you an exclusive interview with Kerry from Hero Chic Heels, I have featured some of her designs on this blog before in Etsy lust lists and her designs just amaze me, they're so beautiful!

1. What are your bestselling designs?
Our best selling designs are our comic heels and most recently our bags (these are probably the shoes we are best known for!) as well as the Hello Kitty/Barbie inspired heels.

2. What do you think are going to be the biggest trends for this spring?
I’m noticing a lot of superhero/comic inspired clothing and accessories popping up here and there as well as the continued throwback to the 90’s. In terms of shoes, there’s been an increased popularity in skates shoes and more grungy styles amongst many fashion bloggers. We’re still seeing a lot of cropped clothing, although this spring I think there is going to be more of a focus on cropped outerwear for Spring having seen some of the latest fashion catwalks. The colours we’re noticing is a lot of pastel colours and floral designs again but this time toughened up with embellishments and metallic themes. Various shade of pinks and corals are also going to great complementary colours for outfits whether you choose to accessorise this with shoes to bags or lipsticks

3. Do you have any celebrity inspiration for your accessories?
Our shoes tend to have a little bit of a unique style to them so I guess celebrities such as Helena Bonham Carter, Paloma Faith and Gwen Stefani sometimes pop up in our mood boards due to their inspirational styles. Some of our ideas for our next range of shoes have some inspiration from the likes of Zooey Deschanel, Dita von Teese and Katy Perry and their unique styles.

4. How influential are celebrities on your designs?
When we are coming up with a new design, we like to browse Pinterest to create mood boards that highlight current and future trends. There is a lot of focus on what fashion trends celebrities are currently wearing so it’s a pretty important part for us to consider this side of fashion when coming up with new designs.

5. What are your personal favourite designs?
Tough question! I love them all! I think my absolute favourites are the comic heels due to the uniqueness each pair has - each customer has their own personal character favourites they want to see on their shoes and it’s always great to come up with different ways of combining characters on a pair of heels - this is probably why I love completing each order so much! I also love Hello Kitty so I think our Hello Kitty heels come in at a close second favourite!

REVISION!

Hey there Guys!

So you may or may not know that Exam season is almost upon us! *Dramatic music plays*

And here in the UK these exams you take at sixteen years old affect your entire life as the grades you get now are recorded and you keep them forever, forcing you to have to choose what direction you want your life to take at such an early age.

These exams are also known as your GCSE's

I believe that this year is the last year that GCSE's are being taken and there is going to be some kind of reform as to the way that the grades work, yipee for me I am fortunate enough to take GCSE's.

In exactly one weeks time exam season begins and to be honest with you, it's blooming scary to think that in that amount of time I am going to take the exams which are the be all and end all of my profession later in life. So this post is going to tell you what I'm doing to prepare for these monstrosities.

1. Keep an eye on dates and times.

Personally I have two different ways of doing this I have a week by week calendar (made by me on my wall) and a personal day by day diary to do this:

My weekly calendar shows me when I have time to revise, when I have mock exams and then the end of the exams and my prom night!

In my day to day diary I write in all exams and times so I know which I need to revise for first, so for me the first exam I will be taking is on the 12th May and it's Religious Ed.

2. Kind of linking to the first point but keep a count down:

I personally like to keep a focus on my prom night as an incentive to work harder towards my exams.

3. Make note cards

I like to write out questions and answers on note cards to test my knowledge of certain subjects. I like to note the unit numbers and sub numbers to keep an eye on whether I have covered everything.

Keep them in order and relevant so in this case I kept all my unit 2.1 cards together.

Make note cards with key words and definitions, this definitely helped me when I took my ISA's a few months back.

4. Get hold of any resources you can.

Learning grids are great! they give you questions for you to answer in order of unit and relevance.

revision guides are even better as they contain information that you may have missed out on in your notes.

Make revision posters and put them on your walls! If you look at them every time you walk into your room then some information will be absorbed into your brain!

As far as english literature is concerned I would strongly suggest buying your own copies of the text and having a copy of every poem  that could come up on the exam. In my case I have studied "An Inspector Calls" and "Of Mice And Men" So I bought some revision guides specifically for these texts. When you go into an english literature exam they expect you to have read the texts at least three times so buying your own copy is a good idea rather than relying on school copies and class time.

5. Finally don't stress.

Get yourself something to eat while you revise

wear comfy clothes and fluffy socks

Good Luck to everyone taking their exams in a few weeks!

Let me know how you do!! Comment down below with any questions and anything else! I love hearing from you guys!

Hen night!?

Hi guys! So I thought I would take a little break from my normal schedule, today I am going tell you of my great weekend adventures!

So my sister is getting married, in one months time, so of course there is going to be a hen night right?

so my mum and my other sister arranged a function room in a pub and 17 of us ended up going to the evening all in all.

There was entertainment, food and silly games which I will talk you through in this post and hopefully give you some inspiration for either your hen party, or someone you know's hen party!

So we all met at my mum and dads house before we left so that everyone could have a bit of a chat and get dressed up, as bridesmaids we wore:

pink sashes which read "bridesmaid" with badges which varied from person to person, mine said "watch out hen party about" and the other said "warning girls on tour"

when we got to the venue we spent some time chatting and listening to music before we played Mr and Mrs.

Earlier in the week we asked my sisters fiance to come round, so we could video him answering some questions for the hen night, these included:

1. On your stag night would the bride-to-be prefer it if you went to a strip club or got arrested?
2. How many years have you and the bride-to-be been together
3. Would you prefer your son to grow up to be a ballet dancer or support the opposing football team?
4.Who is your ideal woman?
5. What job does your ideal woman do?
6. What irritates you the most about the bride-to-be?
7. What irritates the bride-to-be the most about you?
8. What do you love most about the bride-to-be?

we then saw if my sisters answer matched up with his when we asked her, she had to guess what his answer was, we then showed the clip of him answering the question.

Everyone had a bit of a giggle at it.

Then the entertainment turned up.

To start with we had a comedian, Adrian Doughty:

Who was absolutely hilarious and must have been the highlight of  my evening! I would recommend him to anyone looking for that kind of entertainment!

He had jokes, he improvised, he had a tough crowed, a few of the women heckled him, but he took it all in his stride, with witty comebacks for all of them, I will admit though, his act isn't great for a prude, if you're up for a laugh, he's great!

There was then a stripper, as requested by my sister.

we then danced the night away, and drank cocktails!

OOTD:

I wore:
black high heels from new look
 tartan skirt from select
a white lace top from new look over a black vest top from primark

My necklace, and first pair of earrings were from sainsburys, I also wore my piercing studs in my second earring hole, and my pandora heart ring.

I hope you enjoyed this post, and hopefully it may give some people inspiration for hen parties!

let me know in the comments what any hen parties you have been to have been like!
