How to: Get ready quickly

Hey Guys!

Today's post is going to be my top tips for doing your make up quickly! We have all been in the position of needing to be somewhere early or getting up late for school so this post will give you some tips to get your make up done quickly!

1. Use cream eyeshadows

Pictured are two mac paint pots, but the maybelline colour tattoo's are just as amazing! Using cream eyeshadows is quicker because they don't require so much effort to look good, they can be applied with fingers so you don't need to find a brush to use and they don't require a massive amount of blending but give a nice wash of colour over the lids.

2. Use a lipstick that doesn't require a lip liner

Using as few products as possible is key to doing your make up quickly, and lip liner always seems to take a long time for me personally. Using a lipstick that doesn't require a lip liner takes out an extra step from your make up routine meaning it will be quicker to get everything done.

3. Don't attempt winged liner

There is too much that can go wrong! When you are in a rush, it is sod's law that your liner will go wrong meaning you have to spend more time fixing it than doing all of your other make up. I also find that personally I spend a really long time making sure my eye liner is perfect that it wouldn't be time effective to try and achieve the perfect winged eye liner so it's better to just skip the step.

Thanks for reading! Let me know your tips for getting ready quickly!

How to: Apply full coverage foundation

Hi guys,

Today is going to be how to apply full coverage makeup, as you can see I have a few freckles and acne scars, I am also fairly pale, I am usualy a NC15 in Mac foundations and W1 in Loreal true match. It is also important to mention that I have dry/combination skin so these products may not work for everyone. I always start by moisturising my skin and letting it sit for a few minutes before I begin, so that being said, let's get started!

Firstly I am using the Bell Hypoallergenic mat and smooth make up base this is available from Beauty Crowd. As you can see I do my eyebrows and eyeshadow first.

Now I am buffing in the Mac studio fix fluid with an angled round top kabuki brush, I apply the product with my fingers then buff it in. The Mac studio fix fluid is quite a thick consistency similar to the Revlon colourstay foundation. Drugstore/Highstreet alternatives I would suggest are: Loreal true match, Revlon Colourstay and Revlon Airbrush effect Foundation.

Next I am applying the Mac pro longwear concealer under my eyes, down my nose, on my forehead and chin.

Next I am dusting the Make up Forever HD Powder over my face focusing on concealed areas.

This is the look before contour and highlight.

Now I am applying the Mac MSF in Lightscapade to the high points of my face.

And the Benefit Hoola Bronzer.

The last step is to spritz with Mac Fix+

This is the final look minus mascara.

I hope you enjoyed this post, speak soon!

How to: fill in eyebrows!

Hi there!

So todays post is going to be an eybrow tutorial, it is quite a full on look so I know it won't be for everyone, but I personally like a full on brow. First things first, I get my eyebrows waxed by the lovely Nicola over at http://www.nicolabeauty.co.uk/ and she is phenomenal, she did my make up for prom and I can't recommend her enough. A good wax and shape is the basis of a good filled in look! These products will work for people with dark brows, however you could substitute in the same products in different shades to achieve a similar look.

So as you can see my eyebrows are naturally pretty sparse:

The first product I am going to use is the maybelline master shape eyebrow pencil. It is important to sharpen your eyebrow pencil before you start other wise you end up blocking your brows with colour rather than creating texture with the fine tip of a sharp pencil.

Firstly I draw a line following the natural shape of my brows on the top and bottom, joining at the tail of the brow.

I then fill in the rest of my eyebrows with the same pencil before softening it and blending it out with the spoolie on the end of my eyebrow pencil as seen here:

I then take this brow powder by avon on an angled brush by eco tools to set the first product, and again soften it with the spoolie brush.

The next product I use is the Loreal brow artist plumper to set all the products in place and ensure that it lasts all day.

Now I am going to carve out my brows:
This is an extra step to achieve more definition.

These are the products I use personally, but other concealers work too, cream concealers work particularly well for this technique if you want extreme definition. I use a liquid concealer for a more subtle effect.

Here I line around the outside of my brows using a flat concealer brush and my seventeen stay time concealer.

And blend it in.

For my brow bone highlight I use the naked basics palette; the colours Venus, Foxy and W.O.S. The brush I use is on the other end of the Eco tools brush, or a flat brush from Sephora. (you will have seen this brush in my New York Makeup haul)

I mix foxy and W.O.S under the length of my brow and then use venus underneath the arch.

Here is the difference between my brows when they're done and not.

And here is the finished product.

So this is how I fill in my eyebrows on a daily basis, but you can also do these steps on their own for a more subtle look, you can use any of these products on their own or in conjunction like I have in this tutorial.

Also again, I can't recommend Nicola from http://www.nicolabeauty.co.uk/ enough, take a look at her website and if you can pop in and have a treatment or two!

Thank you for reading and speak soon!

How to: Change hair from bleach blonde to dark brown!

Hi guys,
This post is going to be about how I changed my hair from bleach blonde to dark brown, this is going to be a step by step guide for you if you are thinking of doing it! It isn't a particularly difficult process, and it isn't as long winded as people generally assume.

My hair started out like this, My natural hair colour is a medium to dark brown, I then began to dye my fair with box dyes from Nice n Easy before getting bleach blonde highlights.

To start the process of dying my hair dark brown I put on a red hair mousse, this masks the bleach so that it doesn't go green when the dark dye is added, your hair might look a bit wild for a while:

Then I dyed mine with a box dye from Superdrug, you can choose any shade.

This is my hair after dying it twice:

I dyed my hair twice, just because dying it once didn't achieve the colour I wanted. After only one dye the red was still showing through making my hair a purple like colour.

I hoped you enjoyed this post, thank you for reading! Bye!
