Disappointing products

Hey there! Today's post is going to be the first disappointing products. There is going to be three products: the natural collection eye shadow in moonshine, the elf waterproof eyeliner pen in ash and the elf lengthening and defining mascara.

Firstly the natural collecting eye shadow in moonshine, the first thing is the chunky glitter and finally the poor pigmentation. this product was a terrible product to use.

Secondly the elf waterproof eyeliner pen in ash, the colour is unpredictable and changes as you are doing your eyeliner, it also smuges easily making it a nightmare to use.

Finally the elf lengthening and defining mascara - with mascaras I feel that you get what you pay for- and this mascara proves it, it dries out so quickly, and gives no length.

I didn't enjoy using these products and I will not purchase these again. I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know if you would like to see more of these either in the comments or on twitter @missnixitrixi

Elf nail polishes- cheap but cheerful

Hey there! I might make a series/ mini series "cheap but cheerful" let me know if you would like to see them! Today's edition will be of the Elf nail polishes these are $2 or £1.50 on the the elf website.

The two pictured are rosy rasin (right) and gum pink (left) these nail polishes take ages to chip, un like other polishes they aren't hard to remove and finally you only need one coat!

Like I said cheap but cheerful!

I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know if you would like to see more of these posts in the future either on twitter @missnixitrixi or in the comments box.

Make up for combination skin- my foundation routine

Hey there! Have trouble with foundation etc on combination skin?

So did I until I used these products:

In the morning I clense with the simple purifying cleansing lotion and then moisturise using the neals yard remedies power berries moisturiser.

I then use the W7 prime magic face primer - this helps my make up sit better and last longer.

I then apply the rimmel wake me up foundation using a slightly tapered foundation brush. Finally I conceal any blemishes using the elf all over coverstick and blend using the same foundation brush.

Model co. Eyeliner pencil- yay or nay?

Hey there! Has anyone tried the model co eye liner pencil? Either through the brand it's self or through glamour magazine, let me know. I am sat on the fence with this product, the pros and cons balance each other out.
The pencil is soft- good for blending-bad for precise lines.
It stays on all day-but it's hard to get off.
Finally doesn't stay in the stay in the water line for longer than a minute

I will continue to use this product but I don't know if I will repurchase it.

Maxfactor monday!

Hey there! And welcome back, today is 'maxfactor monday' so let me know about some of your favourite maxfactor products!
My favourite Maxfactor product at the moment is a mascara- the false lash effect fusion one to be precise.
I find that this mascara defines my lashes but doesn't give much volume or length.

I like this product because it is not a faded, dull black. But if you want length because you have fairly short lashes this might not be for you.

Let me know what you think!

Barmy about Balmi!- my first post ever!

Hey there! And welcome to my blog! This is my first post -ever- so I hope you enjoy it!

It isn't often that I try a product and instantly fall in love but... I bought a Balmi yesterday, and oh my! I suffer with dry lips and this is just so moisturising! And to top it off it smells divine!

I bought the mint flavour SPF 15 lip balm from the boots reduced section for £1 bargain!
This is the best lip balm I have tried in a while!

Let me know what you think of Balmi lip balms, because personally I think they are absolutely amazing!
