How to: Apply full coverage foundation

Hi guys,

Today is going to be how to apply full coverage makeup, as you can see I have a few freckles and acne scars, I am also fairly pale, I am usualy a NC15 in Mac foundations and W1 in Loreal true match. It is also important to mention that I have dry/combination skin so these products may not work for everyone. I always start by moisturising my skin and letting it sit for a few minutes before I begin, so that being said, let's get started!

Firstly I am using the Bell Hypoallergenic mat and smooth make up base this is available from Beauty Crowd. As you can see I do my eyebrows and eyeshadow first.

Now I am buffing in the Mac studio fix fluid with an angled round top kabuki brush, I apply the product with my fingers then buff it in. The Mac studio fix fluid is quite a thick consistency similar to the Revlon colourstay foundation. Drugstore/Highstreet alternatives I would suggest are: Loreal true match, Revlon Colourstay and Revlon Airbrush effect Foundation.

Next I am applying the Mac pro longwear concealer under my eyes, down my nose, on my forehead and chin.

Next I am dusting the Make up Forever HD Powder over my face focusing on concealed areas.

This is the look before contour and highlight.

Now I am applying the Mac MSF in Lightscapade to the high points of my face.

And the Benefit Hoola Bronzer.

The last step is to spritz with Mac Fix+

This is the final look minus mascara.

I hope you enjoyed this post, speak soon!

 Hi guys!

I recently went to Nicola Beauty which is situated in Stevenage Old Town to get my eyebrows waxed, and decided to bring along my camera to document my experience, giving you an insight into the world of Nicola Beauty!

Totally in LOVE with this area for make up!

The salon has the most amazing interior design, I love how it looks and the atmosphere, you feel totally at ease here. and now here are some pictures from when I was getting my eyebrows waxed:

Nicola is really lovely, and I'm glad I've found such a brilliant beautician,  I will definitely keep going to her to get my eyebrows done, and if I need my make up done for events.

Small primark and TK maxx haul!

Hey guys!

So as you can see, today is going to be a Primark haul, with a little TK maxx at the end!

This is a red throw with a grey owl print, you may have seen this on my instagram, how cutely is this packaged?! I am going to take this with me in a few weeks because I am travelling long-haul requiring sleeping on a coach.
£0.50 (On sale)
I bought these ice cream bowls for decoration for my 18th birthday party in a few months, I am going to be doing a party planning/inspiration series, so keep your eyes peeled!
These pyjamas are super cute! the top is a pink vest top, while the shorts are a black and white gingham print.
These are simple black canvas shoes, I have worn these a couple of times and they are soooo comfy!
I got the Tanya Burr date night lashes in TK maxx for £1.99 which is a massive steal considering they normally cost £5.99 in super drug, so I was super excited when I saw these in there! I'm really looking forward to trying these lashes and I am going to do a first impressions/review of them.

I also got this little Steve Madden beauty while I was shopping in TK maxx the other day, this generally retails for around $99 so it was a real score! I can't find this anywhere online, but there are many similar tote bags available.

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed this post!

July Favourites!

Hi guys!

I haven't done a monthly favourites for a while so I thought that today I would post one! We've got a little of everything today; skincare, make up and music.

£6.89 on amazon (with free UK shipping)
Firstly we have Bioderma, this is a french skincare brand, and this is the make up removing solution. There was a lot of hype around this product, but it does live up to the hype. It removes make up without dragging the skin and dissolves eye make up, although even this can't remove the benefit they're real mascara!

£24 on the MAC webiste

Here we have the MAC mineralise skin finish in lightscapade, the powder has a marbled effect however once it is swirled together it creates the most beautiful opalescent glow on the skin. I feel like this suits pale to medium skin tones, for deeper tones I would suggest soft and gentle which has a warmer tone to it.

£2.95 on amazon (10th shade across)
I have also been loving the NYX lip pencil in the shade 843 Citrine, I have been reaching for this everyday as it is a staple colour I use most days in terms of lipstick.

£2.99 on boots

This is the Maybelline Master brow, you will have seen this in use in my How to fill in eyebrows post. I use this product every day, as you can see, whether I want a bold look or not. It is smooth and creamy making it easy to blend which is what I love about it, however it requires sharpening very often because of this.

My final favourite is a song: Rude by magic, I listen to this on spotify while I am getting ready in the morning and it just has awesome lyrics! I love it, it gets me singing along every time.

DIY birthday gift!

Hi Guys!

Today I am going to show you a cheap and easy birthday gift idea, it is a sweet (or candy) gift box:

You will need:

-Gift box
-sweets or chocolate of your choice

In mine I used:
-10 packets of popping candy
-1 large smarties bar
-1 large milkybar
-1 yorkie
-1 packet of rolos
-1 KitKat chunky
-1 aero
-1 toffee crisp
-many moam stripes

1. place the sweets in the box, in mine I placed larger pieces towards the back and smaller towards the front.
2. Pour in confetti to make it more fun.
3. put the lid on the box and tie with ribbon:

(Lie the ribbon over the top of the box, tie in a knot underneath, then pull the ribbon up at a right angle to the original piece and tie in a bow on the top of the box.)- hopefully that makes sense :)

Like I said, simple and easy!

I hope you enjoyed this DIY! It is easily customisable to any theme, colour or even brand of sweet!

If you recreate it then tweet me a picture @Missnixitrixi

Speak soon, Bye!
