August Favourites!

Hey Guys!

Today's post is going to be my August favourites, these are the things I have been loving this month beauty and non beauty. We're going to kick this off with Odaban:

This is used to stop excessive sweating and this has been extremely helpful through the Summer months, personally I suffer from excessive sweating and I find it quite embarrassing so this product has been helpful as it stops that problem, I would suggest this to everyone who suffers with this. This product can be used on anywhere that sweats, including hands. You put it on clean dry skin over night and wash it off in the morning, it's that simple.

Next we have the Bell mat smooth primer:

This gives a radiant finish and keeps your make up in place, this keeps my make up on through long hour shifts at work and when I use this primer my make up doesn't move at all during the day.  I am going to have an in depth review of this product up soon.

Thirdly we have the essence lash princess mascara:

I use this mascara every day and I love the effect this gives me, it is such good quality mascara for it's low price point. This can clump slightly if you use too much but but if you scrape the brush off a little and use one layer it works amazingly. You will have seen this in many FOTD posts as it is my go to mascara.

Finally we have the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette:

I use this palette for my brow bone and inner corner highlight and it is amazing! I use the three lightest shades for highlighting and naked 2 for my transition shade if I'm doing a cool toned look. I also love the shade faint for darkening up my outer corners and defining my crease, this product is also amazing for travel as it is so compact and versatile.

Thanks for reading!

Bye!

July Favourites!

Hi guys!

I haven't done a monthly favourites for a while so I thought that today I would post one! We've got a little of everything today; skincare, make up and music.

£6.89 on amazon (with free UK shipping)
Firstly we have Bioderma, this is a french skincare brand, and this is the make up removing solution. There was a lot of hype around this product, but it does live up to the hype. It removes make up without dragging the skin and dissolves eye make up, although even this can't remove the benefit they're real mascara!

£24 on the MAC webiste

Here we have the MAC mineralise skin finish in lightscapade, the powder has a marbled effect however once it is swirled together it creates the most beautiful opalescent glow on the skin. I feel like this suits pale to medium skin tones, for deeper tones I would suggest soft and gentle which has a warmer tone to it.

£2.95 on amazon (10th shade across)
I have also been loving the NYX lip pencil in the shade 843 Citrine, I have been reaching for this everyday as it is a staple colour I use most days in terms of lipstick.

£2.99 on boots

This is the Maybelline Master brow, you will have seen this in use in my How to fill in eyebrows post. I use this product every day, as you can see, whether I want a bold look or not. It is smooth and creamy making it easy to blend which is what I love about it, however it requires sharpening very often because of this.

Youtube

My final favourite is a song: Rude by magic, I listen to this on spotify while I am getting ready in the morning and it just has awesome lyrics! I love it, it gets me singing along every time.

April Favourites!

Hey Guys!

Today we are going to be talking about my April favourites! There is makeup, hair products, jewellery and a few randoms at the end!

Firstly we have the mac pro longwear paint pot in the shade rubenesque, you will have seen this before in my “New York Haul” I use this on pretty much a daily basis, you will see this product used in my everyday makeup tutorial coming soon!

Another makeup favourite is the bourjois healthy mix concealer, I use this to highlight the high points of my face and my under eye area, this product has amazing pigmentation and the smallest amount goes a very long way, so bare this in mind if you ever use this concealer. It is also a fairly good price for the quality of the product and is good value considering it will probably last a long while!

I have also been loving the Aussie curl define and soft feel serum, I use this while my hair is still wet to give it a nice shine, but I also use it after I have curled my hair to loosen the curls and make them appear softer. I have been using this product for almost a year now after an (almost) hair disaster at prom and it helped create a look that I wanted from the beginning!

Now for the jewellery favourite! This beautiful blue/ turquoise statement necklace from sainsburys, It is brilliant as spring and summer are coming up and it will be good for adding detail to my outfits for sixth form as there is a smart dress code.

Now we have the randoms! Firstly a TV series I have been watching is American Horror Story, I am on season two (Asylum) I have watched all of season one and two before, but have started to re watch them with my boyfriend and fallen in love all over again! (All I can say is Evan Peters… ;) ) I love all things horror and scary such as paranormal witness and such, but this has something different about it, I love the fact that you get to bond with the caracters!

The next random is a book, Trial by fire by Josephine Angelini. “I’m a witch and witches burn” I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves the supernatural genre. (Team Rowan for anyone who has read the book) The main character Lily ends up in a different Salem where she finds herself in a world of darkness and magic. The cruellest witch of all is Lily’s identical other self. I haven’t finished the book yet, so no spoilers please! But I am obsessed, it is amazingly written and you feel like you are living the story!

Well that’s some of what I have been loving this month guys! Let me know what some of your favourites are!

Thank you for reading

January favourites!

Hi There Guys! So today is going to be my January favourites!

Firstly I have been loving this Bourjois loose powder eye shadow in 25 Beige sunshine
It is a really pretty shimmery brown colour, which I have been pairing over my Maybelline colour tattoo in permanent taupe.

The brush isn't really that great, but it does the job! :)

The next thing I have been loving is a gift one of my good friends bought me and it is a sinful colours nail polish in the colour 102 Purple diamond, It is a fairly light purple, but not a lilac with silver shimmer, which translates onto the nails beautifully.

The next item was a real post christmas splurge in John Lewis and it is a Dior lipstick, in the colour 277 rose declamation from the Rouge Dior line, this is going to be the colour on my lips for prom and for my sisters wedding.

This next favourite has been in my collection for a long while now and it is the lush lip scrub in mint juups, I kid you not this actually smells like mint chocolate, and it does your lips wonders!!

The last favourite of mine this month has been my phone, it is the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini, I absolutely love it and recommend this phone to anyone!

So that is it for this months favourites! I hope you enjoyed this post!

July favourites!

Hey there!

Today is the 31st of July, so that must mean one thing: monthly favourites!

This month not many thing stood out as AMAZING! but I did favourite: nail polish, hair product, lip product, eye product, face product, random favourite and item of clothing

Firstly favourite nail polish was the cairuo nail laquer in blueberry.

Favourite hair product: the fish protective straightening mist, I found this protected my hair while not making it "crispy" as many straightening sprays do.

Favourite lip product: rimmel apocalips lip laquer in 101 celestial see my review for more details!

Favourite eye product: the nivea lash elastic mascara

Favourite face product: the collection lasting perfection concealer

Random favourite my pinboard / weekly planner, this has been a life saver!

Favourite item of clothing:

This has been helpful with the unpredictable weather, hood for if it turns chilly and rains but is lightweight enough to take with you.

That's it for my monthly favourites!

June favourites!

Hey there! How are you? Today is the 1st of July and that can only mean one thing, monthly favourites!

First thing is: my make up academy eye shadow palette in 'undressed' this is perfect for an every day neutral eyeshadow look. These are available from superdrug for an amazing £4!! These colours are highly pigmented and all of them are wearable (you know like in most palettes there is generally at least one colour you just don't wear!)

Next is is my phil smith blonde radiance conditioner I like the fact that it doesn't smell of anything in particular, but that aside this conditioner leaves my hair feeling so soft and looking so sleek and shiny!

Thirdly is the revlon grow luscious mascara the wand is not plastic, this mascara just gives so much length and volume it is unreal! The best part is that it doesn't clump!

Next up is the soap and glory flake away scrub, this smells so good to me but others say they don't like it. This product does exactly what it says on the tin! Flakey skin is gone leaving behind soft and supple skin! I bought the travel sized one from boots for £2.50 but there is also a fullsized version for £7.50.

This next product has been my most used product and that is the rimmel wake me up foundation! What more is there to say!

Because it was the sixth month the final product will be number six!

The last product is my Balmi to read more about it check out my barmy about Balmi post!

That is it for monthly favourites I hope you liked it, let me know what you think about these products in the comments or on twitter @missnixitrixi
